Information Commissioner of Uttar Pradesh, Hafiz Usman,raised the slogans “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”, “Hindustan Zindabad” and “Jai Shree Ram” repetitively in a function held in the Panchayat Bhavan of Muradabad on Tuesday evening. The chief guest also snatched the microphone from other speakers to raise these slogans again. This became a cause of confusion among the audience who attended the event.

Hafiz Usman was the chief guest at the function which was about the Right to Information Act (RTI). The event was also attended by the DIG, DM, Commissioner and several other senior officials.
Usman also criticized strict censorship of Saudi Arabia in his speech and said that India is the best country and the only place where there is fairness and justice in its true sense.
Diverting from the topic of RTI, the officer also expressed his views on triple talaaq and said people should socially boycott those who practice triple talaaq. He went on to tell people what they should do on the days when there is a match between India and Pakistan. Usman also urged people to voice “Pakistan Murdabad” on such days so loudly that the sound reaches Pakistan.
