BJP candidate from Gorakhpur’s Sadar seat Radha Mohan Das Agarwal is attracting the attention of people for his simplicity.

The sitting MLA is contesting in the ongoing Uttar Pradesh Assembly Elections.

While most of the hopefuls, whether from his party or the opposition, are moving around in swanky cars, Agarwal uses his Maruti 800.

A doctor by profession, Agarwal has been visiting areas in his constituency and meeting people on a regular basis.

No matter how hectic the schedule, Agarwal ensures that he drives his car himself.

Agarwal has been elected from the same seat three times consecutively.

He won his first election in 2002 on a Hindu Mahasabha ticket. Later, he joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

What is interesting is that Agarwal is doing everything almost all alone.

His opponents, however, claim that he is doing all of this to gain public sympathy. They allege that he drives a swanky car when he is not in Gorakhpur. But the nomination papers which Dr Agarwal filed reveal that he has a Honda Activa and the Maruti 800.
