Goats have gone missing from the farm of Choudhary Munaveer Salim, who is a Member of Parliament from Vidisha Police Civil Lines.
23 goats have been missing from Salim’s farmhouse at Berkhedi village since Sunday night. When the goats did not return on Monday, Salim’s aide, Dushrath Singh Rajput, informed the police and filed an FIR valuating the goats at Rs. 1,30,000.
Sub-inspector, Ramlal Vishwakarma, has been given the responsibility of finding the goats and has been ordered to use the entire police force in the area to find them. The farm caretaker, Pushpendra Kushwaha, commented that the MP has many pure-bred animals at his farm. The thieves have also stolen a male goat worth Rs. 60,000.
In 2014, a similar incident happened in Uttar Pradesh when former city administrative minister, Azam Khan’s buffalo went missing. The entire police force in the region was sent out to search for the missing buffalo, leaving all other duties aside.
