A 20-year-old girl was burnt alive in Jodhpur district of Rajasthan for protesting the cutting of trees in her city.
According to reports, the incident happened on Sunday at Pipda.
The girl had objected to the felling of trees for the construction of a road near a village. The trees were planted in the farm.
The argument between her and the villagers escalated following which the villagers allegedly poured petrol on her and set her on fire.
Reports say that the village head was also involved in this incident.

The girl was being treated at MJH hospital in Jodhpur where she succumbed to the burns on Monday morning.
The police have registered an FIR against 11 persons. They are also probing the allegations against the village head and a revenue official, who has also been accused of having a hand in the incident.
