In a video, two alleged beef traffickers were forced to eat cow dung by volunteers of the Gau Rakshak Dal, a vigilante group of cow savers, near Faridabad – Delhi border area. The incident happened on June 10.
The alleged cow traffickers, identified as Rizwan and Muktihar, are presently in jail.
According to Dharmendra Yadav, president of the Gurgaon Gau Rakshak Dal, the vehicle in which the duo was travelling was transporting “700 kg of beef from Mewat to Delhi” on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.
The 57-seconds video show the victims sitting on a highway and eating “panchgavya” – cow dung concoction of cow dung, cow urine, milk, curd and ghee.
A team of Gau Rakshak Dal apparently caught trucks carrying beef and to teach them a lesson they also beat them up.
The two men can be seen sitting on the road, with the cow dung concoction in a packet before them. They were made to swallow the cow dung with the help of water.
Later they were taken to the Faridabad Police where the police arrested them on charges of cow slaughter.
Anil Kumar, Station House Officer (SHO) of Sarai Khwaja police station, confirmed that the meat in their car was confirmed to be beef.
According to Faridabad police PRO Sube Singh said, they were not aware that the duo were forced to eat cow dung. They said they don’t know where this happened and who were involved.
