Every year a lot of lists come out ranking the world into categories. And they are interesting as hell, aren’t they? Forbes, a leading American business magazine, also comes out with annual list rating individuals on the basis of wealth, fame, quality etc. And recently the magazine came out with its 100 Richest Indian celebrities list. Do you know who has topped the list? Well a clue, it is someone from Bollywood. The Indian entertainment industry is huge with huge sums of money going into making the movies.
Naturally, the movie actors do make a lot of money as well. And this year one of Bollywood’s favorite actors is at the top of the list of richest Indian celebrities.
Any guesses people? Well, it’s none other than the Bhai of Bollywood, Salman Khan. The 52-yr-old actor made a whopping Rs 253.25 crore from movie releases, brand endorsements, and TV appearances. As per Forbes, the estimate is for the period from October 1, 2017, to September 30, 2018.
This is the third consecutive time Salman made it to the top spot on the richest Indian celebrities list.
But there is one celebrity who is slowly closing in on Bhai’s territory, that is, Virat Kohli. The cricketer is second following Salman Khan on the Richest Indian celebrities list with earnings of Rs. 228.09 crore.
Actors Akshay Kumar (Rs. 185 crore) and Deepika Padukone (Rs. 112.8 crore) follow at No. 3 and 4 respectively.
Well, this makes Deepika the highest earning woman celebrity on the list. She is apparently the first woman to break into the top five in this list.
Is anyone of you wondering where is King Khan in all this? Well, he is on the list. But given that he did not give a release this year he is out of the top 10 this time.
