It’s no news that our society has been majorly influenced by western culture and therefore our film industry too has evolved in term of bold and intimate scenes. In the 1980s, bikini shots were considered a taboo, but there were few actresses who were brave enough to film them.
Similarly, on-screen lip kiss is another thing that is still frowned upon, and therefore many actors are uncomfortable with doing it. Earlier, the filmmakers had no choice but to delete such scenes from the script if the movie star was not willing to do it. But now, with the help of technology, they have found a way to get their shot without forcing the actors to cooperate.
When Kajal Aggarwal refused to kiss on-screen, the director K.V. Anand came up with a way to get his scene without making the actress uncomfortable. Confused how he did it? Well, let us tell you how.
He shot the actors individually kissing on chroma screen and then merged their kiss on the editing table.
This scene is from a South Indian film titled Maattrraan, and when Kajal refused to kiss his co-star Suriya, the director had to come up with this ingenious way get the scene.
Take a look at this behind the scenes video, which showcases how the scene was filmed by using chroma key:
