Social media giant Facebook’s annual developer conference started with an ‘apology mode’ but without actually dishing out any.
Following the Cambridge Analytica data scandal, users were very keen to know about updates and announcements from this social media mogul. Without disappointing them, a series of new and exciting features were announced.
Mark Zuckerberg assured that the company was taking adequate measures regarding data privacy. However, what caught the attention of the audience was the announcement of a new dating app. To quote words of Mr. Zuckerberg, this app will aim at building “real long-term relationships and not just hookups.”
Dating market is already dominated by apps like Tinder and Ok Cupid. Naturally, Facebook’s intervention in that domain turned into a comic overdrive when users started to react hilariously. Here are some of the reactions:
