‘Fanney Khan’ is all set to hit the screens on August 3, the film stars Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao in lead roles. The makers of the film have released two different versions of the song titled ‘Mere Acche Din Kab Aayenge’. The song now has a different version after the first one was picked by social media trolls to target Modi government. People used the song in the context of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political slogan ‘Acche Din’.
A new version of the song has hit the internet. It is titled ‘Mere Achche Din Ab Aaye Re’.
As per a report, the makers of the film may take down the original song.
“After the first version came out, a lot of people online used it to attack the Central Government and question Modi on his promise of Achche Din. The song was getting politicized needlessly. The producers of Fanney Khan also got a few calls from high places, after which they decided to release the new version. They are even contemplating pulling down the original song.”
The film’s director Atul Manjrekar revealed that a new video was produced because the original song had taken a political color.
“We cut a new video and released it now because our song was unnecessarily taking a political colour. It didn’t strike us that this is also the slogan of the government. We didn’t expect such a reaction. Fanney Khan is a simple film about a cab driver and his dreams. I hope people see the song in the right context and not misconstrue it.”
Fanney Khan, set to release on August 3, is the story of a father who struggles and fights for his daughter’s dreams.
