The feature of ‘delete message for everyone’ on Whatsapp is a life saver for many. In 2018, Facebook users came to know that Mark Zuckerberg actually can delete the messages he sends over Facebook Messenger. Naturally, it created a controversy among the netizens. Soon the social media giant promised that it would introduce the same for the users too. Seems like Facebook is finally delivering on its promise! It turns out Facebook Messenger has introduced the ‘unsend feature’. Rolled out for both iOS and Android devices, the latest version is now available in App store or Google Play store.
Wondering how to use the ‘unsend feature’? Well, it’s pretty simple. All you have to do is long press the message you want to delete. Soon you will get two options on your screen. One of them is ‘Remove for everyone’ and the other one is ‘Remove for you’. You can select the one you like. Yes, it operates just like Whatsapp. However, there is a small catch in this entire process. Can you guess what?
You have to use the ‘Remove for everyone’ option within 10 minutes of sending the text. After that, only the ‘Remove for you’ option will be available. Though not much help in terms of drunk texting, it will certainly help you in avoiding accidental embarrassing texts, especially in groups.
The netizens mostly came up with positive responses for this new feature. Here are some of the comments:
