Facebook in 2016 had offered a slew of “Reaction” buttons for its posts, but never included the ‘dislike’ button.

Though reports state that even the new reaction “Dislike” might only come for Facebook Messenger and not for Facebook posts.

Reports also claim that Facebook is currently testing these “thumbs down” reaction button in addition to the already available six reactions on Facebook.

“We’re always testing ways to make Messenger more fun and engaging. This is a small test where we enable people to share an emoji that best represents their feelings on a message.”

This new feature will allow Facebook Messanger users to add reaction emojis next to the text in conversations by clicking on the reaction button next to the text.

These reactions are said to be similar to the current Facebook Posts reactions, but would also include a thumbs down button or the ‘dislike button’.
