Though the amount of money spent on the wedding isn’t known, there are umpteen details about it that indicate that it was one of the most lavish weddings. Interestingly, this happened around the time when the entire country was suffering from the after-effects of demonetisation in 2016. The extraordinarily lavish wedding ceremony had invited a huge flak from across the world. It’s important to note that the minister was accused of carrying out illegal mining activity in Bellary region of Bellary, Karnataka.

However, this did not seem to affect the gala event in even the slightest manner. A particular highlight from the wedding that hit the headlines was that fifty chartered flights were reportedly arranged to ferry passengers to the wedding venue in Nagpur. However, the minister had rubbished these reports calling them ‘mischievous and incorrect.’
