Khan worked with the IAF as airman.
A second suspect called Azhar has been arrested, too. He is believed to be the main supplier of the group.
The police says that the two arrests completes the ring of the Islamic State terrorists connected with the Bhopal train blast. Five people are now in custody of the UP police. Two others are in custody of the MP police.
Saifullah was killed by the ATS in an over 12-hour long operation in Thakurganj area of the state capital on Wednesday.
He is believed to have been involved in the blast in which eight people were injured.
Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke in the Lok Sabha today about the encounter. He hailed Saifullah’s father Sartaj for calling his son an “anti-national” and refusing to receive his body because “his actions were not in favor of the country”.
