It’s been an unfortunate phase for comedy as India’s two most loved comedians, Sunil Grover and Kapil Sharma, won’t be a part of the same show. Sunil Grover has quit ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ after Kapil humiliated him in public on their flight to Melbourne. Though Kapil has repeatedly accepted his mistake publicly, but for Sunil Grover, this is the end.
After the brawl, Kapil Sharma has been disgraced to an “arrogant and jealous” star. His success, his hard work, his love for people, his struggle and fame, all have lost their shine.
Furthermore, the exit of Sunil Grover has drastically affected the TRPs of the show. With low TRPs, the future of the show looks unclear.
The new comedians in the show have failed to make an impact. Also, it was reported that Kapil canceled his last shoot in just 10 minutes because it was not working out well. The audience was not responding positively as Kapil team failed to entertain them.
Seeing this debacle, the channel is apparently thinking not to renew the contract. The show is up for a renewal this month. According to TOI, the channel has given one month time to Kapil to make a comeback.
A source close to the channel said,
“The channel has given Kapil Sharma one month time to put up everything together, if he manages to do so the channel will think about continuing with the show. However, looking at the current situation and dwindling TRPs this seems highly impossible for Kapil as Sunil Grover, Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra are not in any mood to return.”
