Ah, this is something refreshing on the tube! A long, long time ago there was a cartoon series called Ducktales starring some of Disney’s most iconic cartoon characters. They were so good that they kept the ’90s generation hooked to the screens for the episode run-time of 22 minutes.
Rejoice for Ducktales is coming back on the screens in the summer of 2017.
The Sundays of the ’90s were fundays with the gang of Scrooge McDuck, his nephew Donald, and his grandnephews Louie, Dewey, and Huey taking us along on their adventures of the most insane kinds.
A first look of the revamped Ducktales shows us the gang doing what they did back then. And they appear to have only slightly grown up — would you believe it?
Louie, Dewey, and Huey, and, perhaps, Webby Vanderquack are perhaps in their early teens.
The other lovable characters will be there, too! Duckworth, the butler who doubles up as chauffeur, eccentric inventor Gyro Gearloose, crash landing specialist Launchpad McQuack, sorceress Magica De Spell, trouble gang Beagle Boys, and Scrooge’s main rival-in-gold-hunt Flintheart Glomgold – all of them feature in the new series.
The first season will have 21 half-hour episodes and two one-hour specials.
Duck Tales received widespread popularity across the world. It was aired in several languages, including Hindi. Though the Hindi version of the old series took some years to hit India, given the size and demand of the market of our times, the Hindi dubbed version of new one could reach us in mere days.
And did you catch that unforgettable theme song? In fact, the theme song of Duck Tales is one of the most memorable songs ever written and composed for television according to Time magazine.
