Donald Trump Forgets To Mention Hindus In His Diwali Tweet, Netizens Trolled Him Brutally

US President Donald Trump is known for many things and one of them is his famous tweets. He loves tweeting and at times he keeps tweeting until he gets brutally trolled. And it happened again when he celebrated Diwali, the festival of lights, in the White House. It was a special gesture from his side. He participated in the ceremonial lighting of diyas. However, the US President managed to generate another controversy.

Donald Trump’s Diwali wish included everyone, but he forgot to greet Hindus – the largest community in the world that celebrates the festival. In fact, it took President Trump three attempts to finally get his tweet right.




Initially, the official Twitter account of President Trump posted a tweet which excluded Hindus. Twitter users starting pointing out that Trump had missed wishing Hindus in the tweet, the post was deleted and a fresh tweet was put up instead. However, the second post tweeted by President Trump also missed the mention of Hindus.



In another attempt, he corrected his mistake and wrote- ‘The Hindu Festival of Lights.’



It did not go unnoticed by many netizens, who promptly trolled the President for yet another faux pas.




The users made fun of Trump’s understanding of religions.




In a series of tweets, netizens trolled Trump.
