Hailed as a legend of Indian film industry, particularly that of south India, actor Rajinikanth is even worshipped as God by some of his fans. Fondly known as “Thailaivar”, he is the idol of millions all over the country. Whatever he does is special for his fans and followers who are now desperately waiting for his upcoming film ‘Kaala’.
People who get to share the screen with Rajinikanth consider themselves lucky. In the posters of ‘Kaala’, a dog has consistently accompanied the superstar. And now, for the fact that he has posed with their “Thailavar” Rajinikanth, fans are ready to pay a whopping amount to get that dog called Mani.
According to a report by Times Now, professional animal trainer Simon has revealed that few people from Malaysia have offered to pay crores of Rupees for the dog and all this only because the lucky canine has had a chance to sit with “Rajini Sir”.
Talking about the amount people have offered to pay in order to buy Mani, Simon says:
“Few people offered about one crore. They were even ready to pay two crores for the dog since he has acted with Rajini sir. But I refused because we are taking care of him as a child. Who will auction their child for money? So, I declined the offer.”
Simon also disclosed the friendly bond between Rajinikanth and Mani, saying:
“Rajini sir will feed him a pack of biscuits every day. That made our (trainers) work easy since the star and Mani had a good rapport.”
The animal trainer has revealed the film’s director Pa. Ranjith auditioned more than 30 dogs before he selected Mani for the film. This sure has increased the eagerness of fans for Rajinikanth’s ‘Kaala’ which is scheduled for release on April 27, 2018.
