Yes, it was 71st Independence Day of our nation. A proud moment to look back at the progressive journey of our country. Where we were and where we have reached. Every passing day is making us more advanced and we feel proud to call ourselves the citizen of the most diverse nation in the world.

Unfortunately, after 70 years of independence, we still cannot say that women are free in our nation. People today fight with each other and even kill others in the name of religion, animal, honor, etc, but when it comes to women’s safety, there is hardly anyone who actually wants to talk about it.

We have self-appointed rakshaks in our society for animals but not for women. Who till date has ever came out and said that I am nari rakshak. I will catch each and every rapist and kill him!

Nari Raksha becomes the first agenda of every party when it comes to collecting votes but all goes in vain and the savages who do not even spare minors, walk fearlessly on the roads.

A horrific incident came to light on the 71st Independence Day. According to the reports, a 12-year-old girl was assaulted and raped at knife point when she was returning home, after attending the Independence day celebrations at her school.

This inhumane ordeal took place in Chandigarh city inside the Children Traffic Park in Sector 23. The minor girl was a student of class 8 of a government school.

Jolted by the chilling incident, television actress, Divyanka Tripathy, lashed out in a series of tweets expressing her fear of having a daughter.

Questioning Modi’s ‘Beti Bachao Campaign’, Divyanka requested the system to look after the safety of women in our nation.

Terrified by the incident, the ‘Yeh Hai Mohabbattein’ actress even said that she fears to have a girl child as she won’t be able to give her a free life.

Showing her faith in the Prime Minister, Divyanka requested him to give brutal punishments to rapists and give women a nation to breathe freely.

Such a shameful incident took place on the day we were celebrating our independence and left everyone in shock. It’s time for women to take a stand for themselves and ask the system to take strict action against savages who are walking freely among us.
