Speculations about Dhoom 4, the fourth installment of the Dhoom series are at an all-time high. The Dhoom series by Yash Raj Films is one of the most popular franchises in Indian cinema. The first film of the series was released in 2004 with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham playing the main leads. Uday Chopra also played an integral part in the movie essaying the role of the goofy cop subordinate. The movie was a huge success and is considered a super hit release. It raked in a whopping 32 crores, which is a lot considering the time back then.

Following the success of Dhoom, Yashraj released Dhoom 2 in 2006. The next movie Dhoom 3 came after a break of 7 years in 2013 starring Aamir Khan. Each of these movies was great successes with huge box office collections. Every successive movie became a bigger hit than the previous one.

Ever since the release of Dhoom 3, speculations about the Dhoom 4 being in the pipeline are doing the rounds. There have been multiple discussions about who should be the new villain in the movie. Actors Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, and John Abraham have already been a part of the movie. Speculations hence arose about Shahrukh Khan or Salman Khan being the prospects for the antagonists.

However, if recent reports are true, Salman Khan will not be playing the antagonist in Dhoom 4. Many suspected AB junior to be the reason behind this. But it turns out the actual reason might be that Salman believes all his fans imitate his actions and moves. Hence he thinks that playing a negative character is not the best way to go for him.

There is no confirmation about whom out of Shah Rukh or Salman will be a part of the movie. But as per a report by Amar Ujala, Aditya Chopra has decided to drop both Uday and Abhishek from the roster. Yes, it seems that Adi wants to take Dhoom to a whole new level. He wants Dhoom 4 to be at par with the James Bond series.

What do you think? Is it a smart move to drop AB junior and Uday Chopra from the series?
