Few days back Mukesh Ambani’s son Anant Ambani weight loss made news. Now, its Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis whose weight loss is being applauded.
The Chief minister lost 18 kg in just three months. However, this came after following a strict routine.
According to a Mumbai Mirror report, Fadnavis consulted a doctor in December last year when he weighed nearly 122 kg. But, after following a disciplined routine his weight has now dropped down to 104 kg.
His routine involves a mix of medicines to enhance metabolism, a proper diet and a weekly two-hour regimen.
The junk food is a strict no-no and he is allowed only one cup tea a day.
His doctor, Jayashree Todkar, a metabolic and bariatric surgeon, said, “His evaluation went on for two months; we learnt his metabolism was flexible and could be enhanced by medical intervention. We started him on the medicines which had a collateral result, in clearing his problem of sugar intolerance.”
Fadnavis, who started the routine since February, now wants to achieve lean-mean look. His wife Amurta says, she was the inspiration behind all this.
“He had lost weight earlier but gained it again due to work pressure and erratic schedule. After I started my weight loss programme and lost about 5-6 kg, he was inspired.”
We bet that’s true. But, no one can deny that weight loss requires discipline and determination.
