At least 15 rain related deaths have been reported in Madhya Pradesh, confirmed chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan. Three people are reported missing.

He added that the condition are getting better as of now and the concerned authorities are taking all precautionary measures.
“Water level receding in most areas including Rewa, Sagar, Jabalpur, Narsinghpur and Bhopal. It was drizzling in few areas, but was not raining heavily. In Bhopal division also, things are now getting better,” he stated.

However, there is water logging at several places and, few roads have been closed post the flood-like situation.
Relief camps have been set up in government schools for affected people. Chouhan visited some affected areas in Bhopal to take stock of the situation.

The chief minister also chaired a meeting to review the situation.

Met department has forecast heavy showers in Bhopal, Indore and Ujjain in the coming days. The Collectors have been asked to remain alert.
