In India, strange thinks occur on a regular basis. From a village being haunted by a male-hating female ghost to reports of a man who has escaped death many times over by literally a hairline, strange events and stories keep getting reported regulary. However, what happened a few days back at Kahelia station in Uttar Pradesh, aboard the 22454 Rajya Rani Express left many in a shock.
After death of a passenger was reported in B1 coach, the security team of Kahelia station brought the passenger down from the train, thinking him to be dead. The security personnel made arrangements and were transporting the ‘dead passenger’ to a nearby hospital to be examined by doctors for death certification purposes, but the “corpse” suddenly sprang back to life, opened the ambulance doors and simply ran away! Needless to say, the incident shocked the security personnel, especially those who were involved with transporting the dead body to hospital.
According to the Kahelia station master, it was around 12 noon that someone informed the Shahjahanpur railway authority that one person in B-1 coach had reportedly died. The train was brought to an emergency stopover at Kaheliya station, where RPF and GRP security personnel took over.
With there being no doctor on the security personnel team, there was nobody around to declare whether the passenger was dead or merely had fallen unconscious in the train compartment. Investigations revealed that someone had robbed all belongings of the unconscious passenger by cunningly sedating him.
However, the unscheduled stopover because of the mis-reported death of the person, had the train delayed at the Kahelia station for more than one hour and half, which resulted in delay of several other trains that were moving on the track.
