Terrorists attacked a CRPF bus carrying personnel in Pampore in Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday. Eight jawans were martyred in the attack, but two terrorists too were killed.
Another 20 jawans were injured in the attack that took place at around 6 PM at Frestbal, 14 kilometers from Srinagar.

The area has been cordoned off as security forces launched an operation to flush out any more terrorists.
The three-vehicle convoy was returning from a firing practice range when they were ambushed by the terrorists at around 6 PM.
Security personnel recovered arms and ammunition including 2 AK 47 Rifles, 11 hand grenades from the 2 terrorists killed in Pampore attack.

One of the three buses bore the brunt of the attack. CRPF DIG KK Sharma said that one of the eight martyred was a sub-inspector rank officer.
According to reports, other terrorists could in the vicinity.

Nalin Parbhat, IG, CRPF operation, told ANI that the terrorists appeared to be Pakistanis.
“According to the first hand info, both killed terrorists appeared to be Pakistanis and definitely from Lashkar and in all likelihood fidayeen,” he said.

This is the second attack on security personnel within three weeks. Three BSF men were martyred and eleven injured on June 3 when terrorists fired at their bus in Bijbehara.
