The controversy over BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav’s video had not even ended and one more video has gone viral on social media where a CRPF jawan is pleading PM Modi about his plight.
The jawan who identified himself as Jeet Singh is seen highlighting problems that are faced by CRPF personnel and said that despite facing all the hardship and protecting the country at the frontier, a CRPF jawan faces discrimination as he is never given same benefits as that of the Indian Army.
Singh is a CRPF constable and is posted at the CRPF’s Internal Security Academy at Mount Abu.
The video is self-recorded via a mobile and we can see the jawan talking (in Hindi) about all the discrimination that are faced by personnel in the paramilitary forces.
Though the video has gone viral now, it was reportedly shot two months back and went into viral circulation following BSF Jawan’s ‘bad food quality’ controversy.
Though constable Singh too has spoken about the hardship that one faces in the paramilitary, he has no complaints against any officers or the CRPF.
In the video, he has directly addressed PM Modi to look into the matter and said,
‘I want to convey a message to honourable PM Narendra Modi. Us CRP folk, do all sorts of duties in this country… and there is no place where CRPF jawans don’t contribute. Yet, the difference in facilities available to personnel of Indian Army compared to those available to CRPF and other paramilitary personnel is vast… the CRPF jawan does not get any welfare, no timely holidays… The Army (personnel) get pension our pension has been stopped… we don’t get ex-servicemen quota, no canteen, no medical facilities, nothing.
