The fight between CRPF and Naxals is not a new tale. For years, there have been clashes between the border security forces and the insurgents. There are numerous times when CRPF is accused of being insensitive. Is it the truth? The condition in which they carry out their duty requires some kind of strictness. That might appear as insensitive for some section of the society. Also, there are instances where the clash between CRPF and Naxals did result into something ruthless.
However, the story that we are going to tell you is a tale based on human compassion. On January 29, the Naxals were engaged in a fierce battle with the 209 CoBRA. The incident took place at the boundary of the Khunti and West Singhbhum districts.
In the clash, five Naxals were killed and two were injured. One among the injured ones was identified as Somapurti. He was soon taken to the Rajendra Institute of Medical Science in Ranchi by Jharkhand Police. Due to huge blood loss, he was in need of immediate supply and that is when constable Rajkamal stepped in to be the savior. Forgetting that he is a Naxal, constable Rajkamal saw Somapurti as a human first and decided to donate blood. This is what CRPF IGP Sanjay Anand Lathkar of Jharkhand sector said:
‘Yesterday (4 February), we got a call from the hospital saying he is in dire need of B+ blood. Our constable Rajkamal immediately volunteered and donated the blood at the hospital.’

There are very few who can rise above the mundane boundaries of society to help another human who is identified as his ‘enemy’. Recognizing the humanitarian gesture of this CRPF jawan, it was decided that he will be honored with a cash reward. This certainly is what true humanity looks like. The netizens also voiced the same opinion:
This is one of the highest forms of Humanity !

Another CRPF jawan came forward with this quote which certainly is true:
‘We may be divided by ideology, but remain united by humanity. And now blood.’
