Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the world’s most famous athletes. Ronaldo is seen as a hero in his hometown of Funchal, located on the Madeira Islands of Portugal. A statue of Cristiano Ronaldo, located at the Juventus player’s museum in Funchal, Portugal, was revealed in 2014 and ever since then it has become the centre of attraction. The statue, created by Madeiran artist Ricardo Veloza, has been attracting legions of female fans for a strange reason. Read on to find out more.
Scores of people visiting the area were seen to grab the crotch of the statue during photo ops.
Reportedly, the groin area of the statue has been rubbed so often that its bronze finish has worn away and now it looked significantly shinier than elsewhere on the figure.
Soon after the statue was opened to the public, fans quickly noticed the generously-sized bulge in the shorts. And within no time it became a point to take selfies. Everyone clicking a photo with the statue made it a point to touch the groin area.
And as people shared their pictures of posing with the well-rubbed area between his legs, everyone started laughing.
John Rodgers, a tourist visiting the museum told a news agency:
“I just wanted a picture of him to send to my family. But as soon as I put on the family WhatsApp group everyone started laughing. They couldn’t help notice the well-rubbed area between his legs.”
2018 was really an eventful year for Cristinao Ronaldo – a record-scripting Champions League win with Real Madrid, a ground-breaking transfer to Juventus and then becoming a sheer goal machine for his new club as well.
