M.Tech in nanotechnology is a 2-year post-graduate program. M.tech nanotechnology is for
the students who want to enhance their knowledge in material sciences, electronics and
communication devices, biotechnology devices, etc at a nanometer-scale.
Various IITs, NITs, some IIITs, and private institutes in the country offer this course. Some of
the subjects taught in M.tech nanotechnology are molecular electronics, material sciences,
quantum mechanics, computational methods, etc.
The eligibility criterion is not at all complicated. Students who have completed their B.E./
B.tech with a minimum of 50% to 55% or equivalent CGPA, from a recognized institute or
university, are eligible for this program.
The admission for M.tech nanotechnology is both merit-based and entrance-test based. The
MTech entrance exam that institutes consider is GATE, with several institutes considering
state CETs and some institutes have their separate entrance exams for M.tech.
