According to reports, the 50-year-old Singh had allegedly uploaded the video on WhatsApp as an act of revenge on Satwinder.

Reports quote Satwinder alleging that Singh was miffed with her ever since the Congress party decided to give an election ticket from Sahnewal to her instead of Manoj during the Punjab assembly elections.

The video was reportedly circulated just before the elections in the state. Singh was arrested on Friday.

Police said that Singh has been booked under different sections of IT Act and Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act. If convicted, Singh could be sentenced three to seven years of imprisonment.
