Ahead of its release, the Sanjay Dutt biopic Sanju has created a lot of buzz. As one of the most-awaited films of the year, Sanju has got the fan excited due to Ranbir Kapoor’s brilliant act and uncanny resemblance to Sanjay Dutt. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the movie tells Dutt’s journey that dealt with drug abuse, criminal cases, and sex addiction.

Apparently, Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying six different phases of Sanju Baba’s life for which he has gone through a drastic transformation. The film features an ensemble cast of Ranbir, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Paresh Rawal, Dia Mirza and Manisha Koirala. However, all is not well with the film, as the biopic has already run into legal trouble.

Yes, you read that right! According to reports, a police complaint has been filed against Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Rajkumar Hirani and the reason is quite shocking. The complaint against Sanju has been filed with the National Commission for Woman.

The complaint is about using derogatory language against sex workers in the film. In Sanju, Anushka Sharma is playing the character of a journalist who traces Dutt’s life. As the trailer showed, Anushka Sharma asks questions about Sanju’s sex life and how many women he has slept with, in the past, and he replies, “308 without counting the prostitutes.”

Evidently, this line did not go well with the sex workers and they approached the NCW for ‘demeaning the status of sex workers in the society”. The complaint has been filed by social activist and advocate Gaurav Gulati.

Well, other than this, this film is being planned to be the widest release for the director Rajkumar Hirani and Ranbir Kapoor. The movie is all set to hit the silver screen on June 29.
