First things first, there are 22 major languages in India. They are written in 13 different scripts and divided over 720 dialects. Hindi is one among them that is most widely used. Then, comes English. Strangely, we speak a foreign language more often than our own national languages. Probably, because speaking English is given such a respected status in our society that we don’t care to learn other languages. However, you will be surprised to know a Chinese woman is more aware of our languages than us.
Recently, a video of a Chinese woman speaking Tamil fluently has gone viral. On one side, it will amaze you but on the other, it might make you feel a bit ashamed of having ignored our native language.
The video was shared by Mahindra Group Chairman, Anand Mahindra, on Twitter where she is giving a guided tour of the Great Wall of China.
Thanks for this video Ravi. Fun start to a Monday. Not easy to learn the accent & cadence of the language but this Chinese lady seems to have conquered the Great Wall of Tamil. Have to ask my buddy @MM_Murugappan if he approves..😊 pic.twitter.com/h3V8cr30Gm

She is so mesmerizing. Right? Moreover, she is speaking like a true professional. This has left the Twitterati inspired and amazed, they just can’t stop praising her. This is what they had to say:
Like a boss.
Wow!! Wonderful indeed. This is not general Tamil. I mean its the professional one, which I feel is quite difficult. Like how the Hindi we speak at home is little different when compared to the one we read in the books.

Rightfully said.
The passion is the basic mantra. If a person wants to do anything then it is not impossible for a Chinese girl to speak the Tamil language so well.
very beautiful— Atul Misra ★ (@AtulMis20170906) July 30, 2018
Amazing! I really appreciate the manner in which the lady has adopted the Indian culture and the Tamil language.

Great efforts!
Must appreciate the efforts taken. But for the accent, very good use of appropriate tamizh words. Definitely commendable
