Chinese President Xi Jinping along with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi are currently in Kazakhstan for the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).
While leaders of both the countries along with other participants talk about global co-operation and issues, the leaders of two countries also seem to talk about Bollywood movies and how well it is doing in China.
According to Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar, the leaders of the two countries, on the sidelines of the annual summit, also spoke about Aamir Khan starer ‘Dangal’ which is making waves in China.
Jinping during his talks with PM Modi told him that he watched Bollywood movie ‘Dangal’ and that he liked it.
‘Dangal’, which was released in China on May 5 has been breaking all records in China and has already earned over Rs.1,100 crore overall thanks to its Chinese audience.
What is more, besides crossing the Rs.1100cr mark overall, Dangal has also become the 33rd film in China to cross the earnings milestone of one billion yuan (USD 147 million).
At present, there seems to be no stopping the movie as it continues to play in over 7,000 screens across China and surpass even bigger records globally.
