China is set to launch the world’s fastest train with the maximum speed of 380 kmph next month.
The news about the train was broken by China’s state-run ‘People’s Daily Online’ which said that the world’s fastest train would run on Zhengzhou-Xuzhou high-speed track from next month.
The report also revealed that after its launch, the new train will travel between Zhengzhou, which is located in Central China, and Xuzhou, which is located East China.
With this new train, the travel time between these two stations would be shortened from current 2-hour 33-minute to just about 80-minute.
The speed of this new train has been increased by nearly 50 kmph as compared to the last generation bullet train.
What is more the highest speed of this train – 400 kmph is currently in testing phase.
China, who is known for is high-speed train technology, is also trying to market its technology to other countries, especially India.
There is even a Chinese train firm who is currently conducting feasibility study between Chennai and New Delhi for running a high-speed train.
