Kids are made of sugar, spice, and everything nice. Their words are mostly honest and actions have simple motives. No different than other kids, a 5-year-old in China did something that kids normally do, but the consequences of his actions are unbelievable.
Bored and alone at home, a 5-year-old boy in China found his dad’s savings in a drawer. Not aware of the worldly value of those banknotes, he ripped them apart one by one. The parents came back to find currency worth Rs. 4.7 lakh torn into small pieces.
The father rushed to the bank to get the torn notes replaced. As if finding his saving turned into shreds was not enough, the bank asked him to tape the notes and come back. He took up the challenge only to realize that it was a lost cause, for some notes were ripped into 3 or 4 pieces.
Kudos to the father’s understanding and patience because he reacted to the situation with “After all, he’s too young to understand.” The notes, worth 50,000 yuan, were reported to have been a loan taken from the bank. One thing that all of us must learn from this incident is never to let your child get bored, for he might find your hidden secrets in the house and tear them apart.
