If you’re born in the ’90s or earlier, you will possibly remember the Aamir Khan-Juhi Chawla starrer ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’. After all, this film managed to bag two top Filmfare awards – Best Film Award and Best Actress Award to comic queen Juhi Chawla.
While it has been 25 years since we enjoyed this romantic comedy drama, the superb performance of the three kids in the movie is far from over in our memory. They were none other than the then child actors Sharokh Bharucha aka Vicky, Kunal Khemu and Baby Ashrafa. The classic comedy was released in 1993.
While Sharokh Bharucha’s co-star Kunal Khemu went on to star in more comedy films, as a senior artist, like ‘Traffic Signal’ (2007) and ‘Golmaal’ (film series), we don’t have much idea about Baby Ashrafa apart from imagining her as a pretty grown up woman.
However, Sharokh Bharucha, after his epic performance as Vicky in ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’, later appeared in a lot of movies, which include ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’ (1992), ‘Aatish: Feel the Fire’ (1994), ‘Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha’ (1998) and Rahul Bose’s ‘Everybody Says I’m Fine’ (2002).
And after a memorable stint in cinema, he went on to star in TV shows like ‘Kareena Kareena’ (2004) and ‘Rishtey’ (2001).
Sharokh Bharucha starred as Cyrus in the 90s cult teenage show ‘Hip Hip Hurray’, as the funny man of the class of De Nobili High School, and made us all laugh.
But do you know what Sharokh Bharucha is up to now? The once funny cute boy suddenly, perhaps unexpectedly, quit showbiz and decided to bid adieu to his lucrative career in Bollywood. Much to our surprise, he left us wondering where he went and why this sudden departure after a short yet memorable career.
However, recently, we learnt from his Facebook profile picture that the actor is now settled in Melbourne, Australia, with a beautiful wife and a young daughter.
His Linkedin profile tells us that he is a product innovation manager in a reputed finance firm, known as Tabcorp.
Thus, after seeing his profile and details, it’s confirmed that Sharokh Bharucha is now a successful banker and a devoted family man.
We would still love to see our Vicky someday on the big screen, don’t we? Or how about a reunion of the mega cast of ‘Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke’?
