Following the ghastly Pulwama terror attack on a CRPF convoy that claimed at least 40 lives, there has been widespread anger against Pakistan. All across the country there have been hundreds of protest marches along with candle light marches. Recently, residents of Raiyya, near Amritsar pinned the Pakistani flag on the road and made vehicles run over it. There was also loud chanting against Pakistan. A similar situation was reported from Muzaffarnagar where protesters put up a 600 sqft Pakistan national flag on Delhi-Dehradun highway and let vehicles pass over it.
Apart from mass protests, there are many who are taking an initiative to register protest at individual level. One such case is of Anjal Singh, a food stall owner in Jagdalpur, located in southern Chhattisgarh’s Bastar district, who has put up a colourful advertisement to tell all about his latest offer.
To all hungry passersby, he is asking to shout “Pakistan Murdabad” for which he will offer a Rs 10 discount on chicken legs.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has approved the entitlement of air travel to all the personnel of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF) on the Delhi-Srinagar, Srinagar-Delhi, Jammu-Srinagar and Srinagar-Jammu sectors. The decision will benefit approximately 7.80 lakh personnel of the CAPFs in the ranks of Constable, Head Constable and ASI who were otherwise not eligible earlier.
In addition, UN chief Antonio Guterres has called on India and Pakistan to exercise “maximum restraint” and take “immediate steps” to de-escalate tensions.
