Just a few days ago the first full-photo of Dawood Ibrahim surfaced. The photograph showed Dawood dressed in a pathani suit and coat.
The photo appears to have been taken some time back, though it is not clear when. It was obtained by an Indian journalist Vivek Agarwal in Karachi.
A report claimed the underworld don residing in Pakistan is suffering from life-threatening gangrene in his legs.
The unconfirmed report said that Ibrahim is believed to be undergoing treatment at Karachi’s Liaquat National Hospital and Combined Military Hospital.
The gangrene, it is believed, has spread because of high BP and sugar which has contributed to a loss of blood supply to the legs.
But Dawood’s deputy Chhota Shakeel rubbished the report and said that India’s most wanted man is doing fine.
Shakeel, who in December 2015 openly threatened to kill Dawood’s rival Chhota Rajan, is believed to be the successor of D-Company upon Dawood’s death.
Dawood is wanted in India for his involvement in the 1993 Bombay blasts that led to the deaths of 257 people and injuries to over 700.
In July 2015, India hanged Yakub Memon, one of his deputies. Memon’s brother Tiger is still on the run.
The Indian intelligence has credible information that Dawood is in Pakistan and that he has shifted his home from Karachi. He holds Pakistani passports under different names.
