“What If You Knew The Victim?” a Facebook page of a Pakistan-based welfare society ‘Never Forget Pakistan’ featured Photoshopped images of celebrities with pellet and bullet wounds on their faces.
The idea behind such graphic images was to make people speak up against the violence going on in Kashmir. To highlight the violence in Kashmir, along with artist Batool Aqeel and Murtaza Abbas, Pakistani lawyer and activist Mohammed Jibran Nasir started the project.
What gave him this idea?
When he saw little kids with faces mutilated with pellets he couldn’t stop himself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and several other Indian celebrities’ faces are used in this project because when people know the faces, it hurts them more.
By amplifying the violence in Kashmir, they are attempting to seek help from people and make them aware of the wrongs happening over there.
