Some parents agonize over the decision to come up with the perfect name for their new born baby. For other it seems like they are not so bothered. We will share some of the most ridiculous things celebrities have ever named their kids.
1. Sir Carter
The birth of Beyonce and Jay-Z’s first child was a highly anticipated event for fans, and jaws dropped when it was revealed that the couple had named their daughter Blue Ivy Carter. A popular theory is that Blue is a nod to Jay-Z blueprint albums, and Ivy represents the roman numerals IV which of course means four. Beyonce and Jay-Z both have birthdays falling on the fourth of a month, their anniversary is April 4th, and even Beyonce dropped an album called four. The next came twins Rumi and Sir Carter. Rumi was named for the couple’s favorite poet and Sir was named because of the way he carried himself just moments after he was born, according to Jay-Z.
When your last name is West, you wouldn’t want to give your child a first name that would make them sound like a compass direction and not human, right? Unless you are Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, who named their first child North, making her full name North West. The baby number two came along and was named Saint West, and after two unorthodox baby names, the name for their youngest daughter, e.g. third child is Chicago West.
3. Summer Rain
Christina Aguilera and Matthew Rutler named their daughter as Summer Rain. Aguilera explained that she believes summer is the time of spreading light and warmth, while rain renews things by washing away the old and making way for new beginnings.
Nicholas Cage and his wife Alice Kim gave name to their child Kal-El after Superman’s name on planet Krypton. Instead of naming their son Clark or Kent, Cage claimed he wanted something more unusual and he certainly nailed it with this name.
Some parents start with the strange names right out of the gate, but Katie Price took a bit to develop her love for unusual baby names. She named her third child Princess Tiaamii Crystal Esther Andre. Price claimed that she and now former husband Peter Andre chose the name because they viewed her as their princess, and Tiaamii was a blend of their mother’s names, Thea and Amy. Although, Katie Price admitted years later that her child dislikes her name. Maybe she and her sister Bunny can commiserate about their names together.
