Girls cry, cry and cry.
Ah! Emma just proved it right.
She was taken away from home to an unknown place. She was trembling with fear and uncertainty. She didn’t even know if she’d be alive after this. Suddenly, tears started rolling down her cheeks. She was experiencing a nervous break-down.
The truck halts. Emma’s rope is untied and they let her go. She ran wild on the open field. For the first time in her life, she could smell the fresh air and feel the soft grass. These were the green pastures of the Kuhrettung Rhein-Berg Sanctuary in Germany.
She is greeted by a herd of warm people – her new family and friends. Oh, how sweet are they!
And guess what else she finds? A handsome dude looking her way. She just blushes!
This new life – is this for real?
Emma was expecting a cramped, dark house with hundreds like her – slaves to the misery of their destinies. She had imagined roaring voices, merciless bloodshed and torturous nights till she could breathe no more.
She had imagined a ”slaughterhouse”.
But because of few heart-warming souls (read – kind animal activists), Emma’s destiny got a new twist.
Do you think we can give an Indian cow the same life?
Because, after all, cramped roads filled with filthy plastic bags as food are not an ideal place for her. The slaughterhouses are their much dreaded nightmares – never failing to come true!
You need to watch this video by PETA INDIA to see what happens to them inside those dingy, dark walls of a slaughterhouse.
