Donald Trump’s victory as the President of USA wasn’t a surprise for the politics of the country, it was a shock! No one had expected him to win, especially against Hillary Clinton, the then Secretary of State, who had been working in service of the country since a very long time.
So was it some magical spell that worked? At least it appeared to be. But practically, a magical spell can’t work for anyone to win in a game as big as the Presidential election of America.
It was certainly a well planned and well executed political strategy that did wonders for Donald Trump. And that political strategy was designed by Cambridge Analytica, a private company that mines and analyzes data and combines its strategic communication for the electoral process. Ambarish Tyagi, son of JDU leader K C Tyagi, was also a part of CA’s team.
Navbharat Times reports that a team from the Cambridge Analytica will now design electoral strategy for India’s United Progressive Alliance (UPA) for the next election. Company CEO, Alexander Nix, will be visiting India on July 19, to take his final decision on the possibility.
It is expected that Alexander Nix will be meeting Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar, NCP chief Sharad Pawar, SP President Akhilesh Yadav, and other leaders of the opposition.
According to reports, if these parties plan to contest elections in alliance, they will create a united election campaign too. Ambarish Tyagi has confirmed that Nix will be visiting India and meeting several politicians during his 3-day visit.
It is interesting to note that Nix might meet Priyanka Gandhi instead of Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi. Apart from that, he will travel to Bihar to meet Nitish Kumar because according to Nix’s team, Nitish Kumar can play a key role in the formation of the initial blueprint for the electoral strategy.
If Alexander Nix’s Cambridge Analytica bags this assignment, then it will be the first time in the history of India that a foreign company will participate in the election process at such a large scale.
