The auctions for this year’s Indian Premier League have concluded. In the final round of auctions, Indian fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 11.5 crore, while Kings XI Punjab spent Rs 7.2 crore on Andrew Tye. Another highlight of the auction was 17-year-old Sandeep Lamichhane, who was bought by Delhi Daredevils for Rs 20 lakh, becoming the first Nepali cricketer to be bought by an IPL team.
Apart from the players and their auction amounts, there was one more very interesting thing about the second and final day of IPL 11 auction. It was the inclusion of sons of two of the top businessmen in the country but on the opposite sides of the table.
On the one hand was Akash Ambani, son of Mukesh Ambani placing the bids for players with her mother Nita Ambani. On the other was Kumar Mangalam Birla’s son Aryaman Birla whose name was in the list of players being auctioned.
Soon there came a time when a bid was placed for Aryaman Birla and he was sold to Rajasthan Royals for Rs 30 lakh. The information was shared on the official page of the team as well. Take a look at the tweet below:

It is interesting to note that no team bid for Aryaman Birla on the first day of auction despite the fact that he had a very modest base price of Rs 20 lakh.
