For Burj Khalifa, New Year 2019 began with a bang! Why? Well, as the tallest building of the world entered its 9th year, it also completed being the holder of nine world records. With 828 meters in height, there are more than 160 levels in this building. It is also the tallest free-standing structure in the entire world. Other than that, it is known for having the highest numbers of storeys, highest occupied floor, highest outdoor observation deck, and elevators with the longest travel distance in the whole world.
Along with the tallest elevator it also holds a record for vertical concrete pumping. Other than that, it has the highest installation of aluminium and glass facade.

Other than residential floors, this structure also has offices. It also proudly boasts the first Armani Hotel in the whole world. It is said that the muse behind the designing of this building is a desert flower called Hymenocallis. Also, the name is given to honor UAE’s ruler Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Any guesses about the time it took to complete Burj Khalifa?
In some more amazing facts, you will be surprised to know that the tip of the tower is visible from almost 95 kilometers away! Also, during the initial launch of this building 10,000 fireworks were launched. Since then, the place either lights up in different colors or fireworks are launched to celebrate various occasions. In 2017, the building was covered with tricolor too!
Besides the usual height record, this place also has a relationship with Hollywood. Guess what? Well, the Tom Cruise actually scaled this building for the movie Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol. Naturally, with it being so absolutely stunning, people cannot help but take pictures of this structure. Hence, it is one of the most photographed buildings in the world.
