India Pays The Homage To BSF Head Constable RP Hazra Who Was Martyred By Pakistani Snipers

Published on 4 January, 2018 at 3:01 pm By

On a regular basis, we hear stories about Pakistani soldiers violating ceasefire along the Line of Control. Various reasons of ceasefire violations include providing a cover to infiltrators, derailing the peace talks, to prove a political point, or to target local population. Sometimes it is being done to cover Pakistan’s BAT (Border Action Team) which carries out cross border operations and raids across LoC. BAT members, that include commandos of Pakistani Army and terrorists, are experts in guerrilla tactics and work along with Pakistan’s special service group. BAT’s objective is to kill some soldiers or capture them alive and then videograph the decapitation, in order to weaken the morale of Indian soldiers.

On January 3, Pakistani soldiers again violated the ceasefire and killed 51-year-old BSF jawan RP Hazra, in an unprovoked firing at the international border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba sector.

He belongs to Murshidabad in West Bengal and was posted with the 173rd battalion of the BSF. He was deployed at Chak Dulma post in Hiranagar subsector of Samba district. BSF had retaliated after this incident.

He was born on this day in 1967. He is survived by a daughter (21) and son (18).

Citizens around the country have been outraged by Pakistan’s cowardly acts and the nation paid homage to its brave soldier:
