In recent times, we have come across people who shout out loud against the “wrongdoings” of the jawans in areas across India’s border zones. Such people leave no stone unturned to criticize the army for all possibilities that have emerged in the border areas over the last few years, especially the Kashmir region.

However, despite such criticism, our army keeps doing its work without any hindrance, showcasing their resilience and unperturbed spirit. A glimpse of their vigor and indomitable spirit came across recently as North Bengal copes with tremendous floods and land slides. Now, the floods in north Bengal have not only affected lakhs of civilians and tourists but also hampered the duty of the personnel of the Border Security Force. Yet they stand united, absolutely unwavering at the wrath of nature.

The official account of BSF recently posted certain pictures on Twitter showcasing the jawans guarding the posts in two battalion areas in waist-deep water.

According to reports, the floods have been caused by immense rain in Bengal’s Malda district resulting in the overflow of the Punarbhaba river, which flows close to the international border with Bangladesh.

Needless to say, our soldiers’ resilience and dedication towards their duty were praised by numerous Twitter users:

While some people compared them to gods, others conveyed through Twitter how proud they are of our soldiers:
