BSF jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav is “hale and hearty”. The social media posts doing the rounds are fake and are probably being spread by Pakistani twitter handles.
Social media was abuzz with the so-called ‘news’ of the jawan’s death. Comments on this twitter post of a Pakistani claimed that he was “tortured” by the Indian Army.

None of it is true. The image that is being circulated around as that of Tej Bahadur Yadav is of a martyr from one of the CRPF operations against Naxals.
Outlook quotes a BSF official saying that Bahadur is fine and that the force would raise this rumor with concerned authorities.
The report also quotes Bahadur’s wife saying that he is alive and “is awaiting the board of inquiry probing charges against and by him” in Jammu and Kashmir.
The BSF jawan hit the headlines when a video in which he claimed that the force was served poor quality food went viral.
