The Border Security Force (BSF) has dismissed jawan Tej Bahadur from service on charges of indiscipline.
Bahadur had complained about the quality of food given to jawans in inhospitable terrains in a video that went viral on social media.
In the video, Bahadur had alleged that the ration meant for the jawans were being sold in open markets.
The video generated controversy and brought disrepute to the frontline force. The PMO had then sought a detailed report from the Union Home Ministry and the BSF.

Following investigation, the PMO was told that there was no shortage of rations at any BSF post. At the same time, the BSF took strict measures to check on the morale of jawans and the quality of food.
