It may be hard to believe but famous Bollywood actress Sridevi passed away in Dubai after suffering a massive cardiac arrest. The actress along with her husband, Boney Kapoor and daughter Khushi was enjoying a vacation in Dubai after attending Boney’s nephew, Mohit Marwah’s wedding celebrations. She was 55.

Her elder daughter Janhvi Kapoor was not in the wedding as she was busy shooting for her debut film, Dhadak.
The actor got married to film producer Boney Kapoor, who is also the elder brother of actors Anil Kapoor and Sanjay Kapoor, in 1996 with whom she had two daughters, Jahnvi and Khushi.
Her sudden death has sent shock waves across Bollywood and general public and legions of her followers who reached outside her Mumbai house.

Surprisingly, just before Sridevi’s death, Amitabh Bachchan’s tweeted, which seemed to indicate that he had a premonition about the actress’s untimely demise.

Sridevi has worked in movies like Mr India, Chaalbaaz, Nagina, Sadma, and many more. She had over 275 acting credits to her name including those in regional languages like Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.
At the age of 4, Sridevi started her film career as a child artist in M.A. Thirumughams devotional Thunaivan. In 1974, she made her Bollywood debut as a child actor in Julie. In 1979, Sridevi starred as the leading lady in Solva Sawan, a remake of Bharathiraja’s Tamil film 16 Vayathinile .
In 2013 was awarded Padmashri for her contribution to Indian cinema. After she became mother for the first time with daughter Janhavi, she went away from the movie business.
She was last seen in movie Mom, where she played the role of a mother, who took the revenge from the people who harmed her daughter. The movie was lauded by the critics.
