God’s own country Kerala recently witnessed the worst floods and we could not be more regretful. The catastrophe has killed over 400 people in the last few days, causing severe damage to the livelihood too. The constant rains, landslides, and floods left lakhs of people homeless in Kerala. The rescue teams, including Indian Armed Forces, are giving their best efforts to save people. However, it is quite sad to see some hate mongers coming together on social media to spread negative remarks about the Kerala floods.
There are many unsung heroes who are a part of rescue missions in the Kerala floods. They are helping people keeping aside religious, political or economic differences. Sadly, there are people who are spreading hatred by showing their lack of empathy during this disastrous time.
We have witnessed support pouring in from all across the globe to provide relief to the lakhs of people stuck in the floods. With people coming together to provide relief to the people of Kerala, we witnessed heart-warming incidents too.
Sadly, there are some hate mongers who ‘suggested’ that there should be no rescue mission or contribution to be made to the state’s relief fund. The reason is quite unexpected. These social media haters claimed that Kerala is facing the ‘wrath of the gods’ and apparently ‘they deserve it’.
Shocking right? Certain hateful trolls are seemingly blaming ‘beef eaters’, ‘women’, and ‘Muslims and Christians’ for the Kerala floods. Have you ever heard of a stupider reason? We certainly didn’t! Justifying a natural calamity, that killed hundreds of people, with such a fanatically driven reason is quite shameful.
It seems to be true sir
Lord Ayyappa is angry with the Kerala Govt, as whole country knows that Communist & Congressi Workers had publicly slaughtered an innocent Calf in protest of Beef ban, cooked it publicly & feasted on its cooked beef openly on the road !

Still, if you don’t believe us, there are people who have been saying that Kerala is being targeted by the wrath of Lord Ayyappa because of Supreme Court’s judgment to allow women to enter the temple in Kerala. Well, these tweets show the disgraceful mindset of the haters who think that Kerala is righteous to suffer because they let the court to intervene in the matters of the lords.

Furthermore, some people claimed that Kerala deserves the floods because of the beef-eating culture in the state. Shockingly, Karnataka’s BJP MLA Basanagouda Patil Yatnal made one of the most controversial and insensitive remarks about the Kerala floods. He said that the devastating floods in the state occurred due to the open slaughtering of cows by the people.
“Whoever hurts the feelings of the Hindu community will be punished this way.” Cow slaughter and beef festival is the reason for devastating floods in Kerala –

Seems like they know better!
Kerala…Cow slaughter & Devastating floods…
Scientists agreed that the Latur devastating earthquakes few years back was likely connected to slaughtering of mute animals in thousands. same for Kerala floods?https://t.co/r821mCAwZdhttps://t.co/6I3uYFQlb4

While it is more convenient to offer our help and support to the relief of the people, it seems some people are not up for it! They are more concerned about spreading hate. Being said that, the least we can do is not add to their sufferings, if we are not ready to offer help.
Haters have to understand that whatever happened in Kerala is because of natural calamities like floods and landslides. It’s certainly not due to the ‘wrath of the gods’ or ‘women in the temple’.
What a shame to say the causes of Kerala floods are beef eaters & women entering into the Ayyappa temple. Eating, women & weather are discrete, if concrete constructions are reasons then what about 100 years ago & in other places of world. https://t.co/qos3UGJUwa

Yes! And we all agree!
What didn’t cause the #Keralafloods
– women allowed in a temple
What caused the #KeralaFloods
– Excessive rain

Kerala is such a state that constantly tries to be an egalitarian society. So, here’s one request! Please stop with your religious bigotry, communal politics, and sexism. Let us try to be humane in this situation.
