“Mehbooba ji wanted the honourable Prime Minister’s blessings and Modi ji assured her of all help. The PM asked the PDP chief to talk to the BJP members and decide the future course of action.”
Madhav added that during the meeting specific issues were not discussed nor did PDP chief put up any condition.
The alliance between BJP and PDP has came to the standstill following Mufti’s death. PDP chief Mehbooba is believed to have sought concrete assurances from the centre on many issues.
When Mehbooba Mufti met BJP cheif Amit Shah , rumours were that talks for government formation has failed. But following the meeting with PM Modi, things seems to be improving.
Commenting about the prospects of government formation, Madhav said PDP has to make the next move.
On the other side, J&K Governor NN Vohra summoned Mehbooba Mufti and BJP’s Sat Sharma for meeting on Friday amid fresh efforts by the two parties for resuming the alliance in the state.
