The cricket world is going through a lot of controversies these days. The Australian ball-tampering controversy involving Australian captain Steve Smith. He has admitted that he was the chief plotter in a ball-tampering scandal. After the incident and accusations got confirmed, Smith stepped down as Test captain before start of play on fourth and final morning at Newlands with vice-captain David Warner also standing down in his leadership duty. While Smith has been banned for one Test match and fined 100 percent of his match fee, Cameron Bancroft was handed over 3 demerit points and fined 75 per cent of his match fees.
However, this decision of ICC has Indian cricketer Harbhajan really angry. Bhajji believes that the International Cricket Council has taken an unfair decision as they didn’t suspend Cameron Bancroft and banned Smith just from one match.
Slamming ICC, Harbhajan took to Twitter and reminded them that he and five other Indian members were suspended in 2001 in Test match against South Africa. Showing displeasure with the verdict, Bhajji said that they should have banned Bancroft as all the evidence were against him. Take a look at the tweet Bhajji shared:
wow @ICC wow. Great treatment nd FairPlay. No ban for Bancroft with all the evidences whereas 6 of us were banned for excessive appealing in South Africa 2001 without any evidence and Remember Sydney 2008? Not found guilty and banned for 3 matches.different people different rules

ICC is owned by Cricket Australia I believe. So soft corner and less punishment even when they’ve committed crime not a mistake
